Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between resilience and parental acceptance of mothers of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The sample consisted of 51 mothers. Brief Resilience Scale (BRS) and Parental Acceptance- Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ) were used to assess mother’s resilience and parental acceptance level. The results indicated a significantly negative correlation between resilience and parental acceptance (r = -. 330, p <.05). Furthermore, this study also found significant correlations between some of the parental acceptance dimensions and resilience level.
