Abstract

Individuals in an organization generally desire to attain subjective well-being (SWB) in performing their duties. Applying a positive meaning of life in everyday life is an alternative to obtain SWB. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dual role conflict on SWB with social support as the moderator. Using purposive and snowball sampling, 53 Indonesian Air Force women participated in the survey where their responses to the SWB Scale, the Dual Role Conflict Scale, and the Social Support Scale were recorded. Moderated regression analysis demonstrated that dual role conflict does not have significant influence towards SWB, but social support moderates the effect of dual role conflict on SWB. Social support is an effective catalyst that accounts for the relationship between role conflict on SWB among Indonesian Air Force women.
